Joshua Day hits his way to MACJC Player of the Week

WESSON, Miss. – Copiah-Lincoln Community College freshman shortstop Joshua Day earned MACJC Player of the Week honors after batting .700 as he went 7-for-10 at the plate last week.

Day, a freshman from Natchez, Miss., drove in seven runs on the week as he posted three singles, a double, a triple, and a pair of home runs. The extra base hits gave the Adams County Christian School product a staggering 1.600 slugging percentage on the week.

Co-Lin defeated Southwest 8-6 and swept Highland 11-1 and 12-7. Day posted his two home runs in the 12-7 win over Highland as he drove in five runs.
