Jalen Bell lands NJCAA Second Team All-American honors

CHARLOTTE, NC – Jalen Bell, a sophomore offensive lineman from Amory, Miss., becomes Co-Lin's sixth football player to be tabbed as an All-American in the last seven years. The 6'5 350 pound lineman had a stellar season for the Wolves and was also named MACJC Offensive Lineman MVP along with NJCAA All-Region XXIII and First Team All-MACJC honors.

"This means the world to me because I worked so hard to lose some weight between my freshman and sophomore seasons," said Bell. "I would like to thank all the coaches at Co-Lin for me through that, and my family and teammates for being there with me every step of the way."

Bell helped lead the Wolves to a 6-4 record and a trip to the MACJC Playoffs in 2018. With the help of Bell in the trenches, Co-Lin had two rushers total 500 yards for the first time since 2015 this past season in Deion Dampier and Rico Owens.

Bell was one of Co-Lin's 27 football players that graduated in December last week and is eligible for early signing as of Wednesday, December 19. For more information on the Co-Lin football program follow @colinathletics and @CoLinFootball on Twitter.
