Co-Lin enters the game with confidence as the team racked up 319 yards of total offense with 198 coming through the air and 121 on the ground in week one. Transfer quarterback Danny Clark led the team last Thursday as he went 15-for-27 in the passing game, while Drexlan Allen and JJ Jernighan split time in the backfield and provided a one-two punch in the rushing attack. Clark did not have a shortage of receivers as seven different Wolves hauled in catches with Antoine Robinson getting the most looks with five receptions for 55 yards. Erick Rogers and Kundarrius Taylor both had receiving touchdowns of 44 and two yards, respectively.

Defensively, the Wolves contained Holmes' vintage triple-option rushing attack surprisingly well, surrendering just 225 yards on the ground. Jordan Davis, Jalen Bedell, and Keyshawn Brinkley all got sacks, while Tyrus Wheat and Demetrius Swilley both forced fumbles. Khehlan Kennedy wrapped up six tackles and had a 71-yard scoop and score.

Northeast won their opener over Southwest Mississippi Community College in thrilling fashion with a one-yard halfback dive in overtime to secure the 19-13 walk-off victory. The Tigers posted 342 yards of offense in the win, 228 passing and 114 rushing. Jack Mangel was Northeast's main signal-caller. The freshman was 20-for-31 for 158 yards with two picks, but Patrick Felton also saw time under center and was 7-for-13 for 70 yards and one interception. Shawn Dalton Weatherbee, the freshman running back that scored the go-ahead touchdown, led the team on the ground with 94 yards on eight carries for two scores, while Kevon Jackson got the most looks with 15 carries. Jackson finished with 23 yards.

On the defensive side, Jamarcus Smith led the Tigers with 13 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble, while Terry Joiner wrapped up 10 tackles and one sack.

In last season's matchup, Co-Lin's offense struggled until late in the second half when Robinson caught a four-yard score in the third quarter to break the 0-0 tie. The Wolves poured in on the Tigers in the final four minutes with a 21-yard score on the ground followed by a pick-six. Northeast got one score back in the seconds of the game to avoid the shutout giving Co-Lin a 21-7 victory.

Fans are asked to wear white on Thursday and all local community servants (law enforcement, fire, first responders, etc.) are asked to attend as they will be honored throughout the game.
