Davis, Robinson, Wheat earn All-Region recognition

JACKSON, Miss. - To go along with their recent MACJC First Team All-State honors, a trio of Wolves earned NJCAA All-Region XXIII recognition for their stellar seasons on the gridiron. Jordan Davis, Antoine Robinson, and Tyrus Wheat all got the nod. 

Jordan Davis, a defensive lineman from Memphis, Tenn., wrapped up 36 tackles on the year despite playing in just seven games due to injury. The 6'5, 250-pound rusher was tied on the team with three sacks on the year and forced two fumbles. 

Antoine Robinson, a wide receiver from Canton, Miss., led the Wolves in nearly all receiving categories with 37 catches for 721 yards, seven touchdowns, 19.5 yards per catch, and a team-high 80.1 yards per game. Robinson had two breakout games in 2019, 198 yards on six catches and two scores versus Pearl River, and 142 yards on six catches and three scores versus Southwest to close out the season. 

Tyrus Wheat, a linebacker from Amite, La., was a leader on the defensive side for Co-Lin. The 6'3 linebacker posted 39 tackles and six tackles for loss. He also posted a team-high three interceptions, had two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. Wheat sealed the win against Northeast for Co-Lin with two interceptions, including an 86-yard pick-six.

Signing day for these players will be in December as they will enroll at four-year schools to continue their football careers.
