Lofton earns Player of the Week honors, second straight week

JACKSON, Miss. - Bryce Lofton, Co-Lin's sophomore kicker from Sand Hill, landed Mississippi Association of Community College Conference (MACCC) Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the second straight week after another stellar performance in Co-Lin's win over Pearl River on Thursday.

"It feels great to receive an honor like this for a second week straight," said Lofton, a Pisgah High School graduate. "This isn't an award just for me, a special thanks goes to Hunter Sims for snapping, Max Rigby, our holder, and to our offensive line on executing on their end. We are just trying to put the team in the best situations to win games, and we know our part is just as important, so we are giving it our best effort every time we take the field."

Lofton was once again two-of-two on field goal attempts, this time from 30 and 42 yards out. Both kicks proved pivotal as the Wolves held on to win by three, 27-24. The sophomore also handled all kickoffs and punting with an average punt of 39.6 yards with one landing inside the 20-yard line.

Co-Lin's next two contests have been postponed due to COVID-19 precautions. Fans need to continually check Co-Lin's website for updates.
