Pullen Named NJCAA Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE – In a week that saw sophomore defensive lineman Billy Pullen (Kaufman, TX) earn MACCC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, he also added NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week honors on Wednesday, October 11.

Pullen was dominant for the Wolves defense in their 20-6 win over the Tigers. He finished the game with six total tackles including 3.5 sacks for a total loss of 19 yards. Pullen played an integral part of a Wolves defense that held the Tigers to just 86 yards rushing for the game and 194 total offensive yards.

On the season, Pullen has 6.5 sacks which is second-most in the nation. He also has 26 total tackles for an average of 5.2 tackles per game and has 7.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one interception.
