Canoville and Samuel Power Wolves to Fifth Straight Win

GOODMAN – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team returned to action on the road against Holmes. The Wolves beat the Bulldogs by a final of 70-62.

The Wolves used a dominant first half to take a double-digit lead over the Bulldogs, 34-24, as the teams entered the locker room at halftime. The second half saw the Bulldogs outscore the Wolves, 38-36. However, the Wolves would not relinquish the lead as they secured the 70-62 victory for their fifth consecutive win of the season.

Freshman forward Dylan Canoville (Plantation, FL) recorded a double-double to lead the Wolves scoring a game highs in both points and rebounds with 21 and 10 respectively. For Canoville, this was the third double-double performance in the last four games. Sophomore guard Cowandric Samuel (Jackson) added 18 points with four rebounds while sophomore forward AJ Warnsley (Byram) had 10 points with four rebounds.

Sophomore guard Jemario Hersey (Brookhaven) had nine points while sophomore guards Jahvon Smith (Hallandale, FL) and Andrew Anderson (Hattiesburg) had six points each to round out the scoring for the Wolves.

Co-Lin improves to 5-2 overall and returns to action with a road contest against LSU-Eunice on Saturday, December 3. Tip-off between the Wolves and the Bengals is scheduled for 2 p.m., in Eunice.
