Wolves Drop Close Contest to Bengals

EUNICE, La. – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team returned to action with a road contest against LSU-Eunice on Saturday, December 3. The Bengals beat the Wolves, 76-72, in a closely contested game.

The Bengals got the better of the Wolves in the first half as they jumped out to a 41-33 lead as the teams entered the locker rooms at half.

The Wolves came out in the second half and pushed the Bengals to the limit as they outscored them, 39-35. However, the Wolves could not overcome the first half deficit as the Bengals sealed the 76-72 win.

The Wolves once again had four players hit double-digit scoring as sophomore guard Cowandric Samuel (Jackson) and sophomore forward AJ Warnsley (Byram) both turned in double-doubles with both having 18 points each while Samuel added a team high 13 rebounds with Warnsley close behind him at 12 rebounds. Freshman forward Dylan Cannoville (Plantation, FL) narrowly missed a second straight double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds while sophomore guards Jemario Hersey (Brookhaven) and Jahvon Smith (Hallandale, FL) had 12 and nine points respectively to round out the scoring for the Wolves.

Co-Lin is now 5-3 overall and will return to action with a road game against Baton Rouge on Tuesday, December 6. Tip-off between the Wolves and the Bears is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
