Wolves Cruise Past Bears

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team returned to action with a road contest against Baton Rouge on Tuesday, December 6. The Wolves beat the Bears by a final of 72-59.

The Wolves used a strong first half to take a 35-30 lead over the Bears as both teams entered the locker rooms at halftime. While the second half saw the Wolves continue to display a dominant performance as they outscored the Bears, 37-29, to secure the 72-59 victory.

Once again, the Wolves had four players hit double-digit scoring figures as sophomore forward Kaeden Laws (Southaven) led the way with 16 points along with seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Sophomore guards Jemario Hersey (Brookhaven) and Cowandric Samuel (Jackson) had 15 and 14 points respectively while Hersey added two rebounds and one assist with Samuel having seven rebounds, three assists, and a team-leading four steals. Sophomore forward AJ Warnsley (Byram) had 12 points with five rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

Freshman forward Dylan Canoville (Plantation, FL) had six points while adding a team-leading 11 rebounds and one steal. Freshman guard Anterrian Hawkins (Hollandale) had five points with four rebounds, one assist, and one steal while sophomore guard Andrew Anderson (Hattiesburg) had four points with one rebound, two assists, and one steal.

Co-Lin improves to 6-3 overall and will return to action with a home contest against Southwest Mississippi on Thursday, January 5. Tip-off between the Bears and the Wolves is set for 6:00 p.m., at Mullen Gym in Wesson.
