Brewer and Jones hit the links again

PLYMOUTH, Ind. - The second day of the NJCAA DII Men's National tournament was another challenging day as Lucas Brewer and Bryson Jones chipped away at the challenging Swan Lake Resort golf course. Due to the weather from the opening day, the tournament resorted to a "shotgun" start to help speed up play on Wednesday. Brewer finished the second round +7 (79), while Jones shot a +13 (85). The duo is back on the links today for the third round and looks to bounce back this afternoon.

Brewer, who started on hole No. 5, had a successful day on the course, minus some bogies down the stretch. Despite the woes, a string of seven straight pars followed by four more helped limit the damage and allowed the sophomore to card a 79. Brewer is tied for 47th going into the third round.

Jones, who teed off No. 4 to start his round, had a tough day at Swan Lake as troubles early hindered a low score. The freshman made a big birdie on No. 17 on the way in to help pick up some momentum. The finish puts Jones tied for 83rd going into play today.
