Wolves Finish in A Scoreless Draw Against Eagles

WESSON – Despite a strong offensive effort, the Wolves ended in a draw against Hinds in their home opener on Friday, August 26.

"It was a very tough and physical game for our guys," stated Co-Lin head coach Tom Cosgrave. "We did well in short moments during the game, but we were not good enough in possession nor clinical enough in front of the goal. We must be better in both of those areas as the season moves progresses."

The Wolves accounted for 13 shots throughout the match; however, only four of the shots were on goal with many shots going just slightly wide of the goal. Freshman goalkeeper Leo Summers (Cornwall, England) kept the Eagles off the board saving all four shots on goal he faced throughout the match.

"This match was a good test for us to see what we need to work on to be ready for conference play," added Cosgrave.

The Wolves are now 0-0-1 on the season and will return to action on the road to face off against the junior varsity team at William Carey University. The action on the pitch will kick off at 11:00 a.m., in Hattiesburg.
