Pair of Wolves Earn Postseason Honors

JACKSON – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) announced the postseason men's soccer honorees on Wednesday, November 15. The Wolves had a pair of sophomores named to the lists as midfielder Alfie Lally from Manchester, England was named First Team All-MACCC and defender Dylan Ngamaleu from Vallorbe, Switzerland was named Second Team All-MACCC.

Alfie Lally had a terrific sophomore season starting in 15 games for the Wolves playing in both midfield and forward positions throughout the season. Lally finished the season with 12 goals and seven assists for 31 total points placing him in the Top 5 in the MACCC for goals and points and was in the Top 10 for assists. Lally was also named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 team after earning the First Team All-MACCC honors. In his two-years at Co-Lin, Lally played in 30 games with 27 starts and finished with 19 goals and 10 assists for 48 total points.

"Alfie had a great season this year. He really stepped up and became a massive threat for us going forward in attacks," stated Co-Lin head coach Tom Cosgrave. "His ability to strike the ball is phenomenal, especially from a set piece. I am glad that he got the recognition he deserves for all the hard work he put in this season. He will be a very good player at the next level and looking forward to seeing his success"

Dylan Ngamaleu had a stellar sophomore season where he started in 16 games for the Wolves defensive back line. Ngamaleu scored two goals this season with his first career goal coming on the road against St. Charles Community College, while his second career goal came at home against Northwest Mississippi. In his two years at Co-Lin, Ngamaleu played and started in 31 games.

"Dylan has been excellent for us the past two seasons," added Cosgrave. "His ability to read the game and organize as a central defender has been terrific. I am looking forward to seeing him perform at the next level."
