Wolves drop match to No. 20 Jones College

ELLISVILLE, Miss. - The Co-Lin netters suffered a tough loss last night to No. 20 Jones College, 7-2. The Wolves are back at home this weekend as they play host to Meridian Community College at 1 p.m. before making the trip to No. 18 Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday. 

Jordi Morey, a former Jones Bobcat, and Julian Toloza played No. 1 doubles for the Wolves and grabbed a big win over Kwanda Mbalekwa and Jacob Johnson, 8-6. Co-Lin's No. 2 doubles, John Ready and Samuel Boutwell, fell to Jones' Daniel Panziea and James McWilliams, 8-0, while Skyler Rasberry and Andrew Hulon lost, 8-0, at No. 3 doubles. 

Morey secured the Wolves' second point on the day at No. 1 singles as he rolled by Mbalekwa, 6-0, 6-2. Toloza lost a heartbreaker at No. 2 singles to Gasper Meda, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 as Meda took the tiebreaker 10-6. Rasberry played No. 3 singles and fell 1-6, 2-6 to Panziea, while Ready played at No. 4 and fell 2-6, 1-6 to Johnson. Tyler Leggett hit the court at No. 5 singles and fell 0-6, 2-6 to Ryan Myers, while Preston Ivy rounded out play at No. 6, 0-6, 0-6 to James McWilliams.
