DECATUR – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team continued the 2021 season with a road contest against East Central on Tuesday, October 5. The Lady Warriors beat the Lady Wolves by a final of 7-0.
The Lady Warriors scored three goals in the first half in the 14th, 34th, and 38th minutes to carry a 3-0 lead at halftime. The final four goals came in the 49th, 69th, 72nd, and 87th minutes during the second half securing the win for the Lady Warriors.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alexandra Moon (Poynton with Worth, England) made two saves on five shots on goal playing the first 45 minutes in the first half of the match, while freshman goalkeeper Olivia Burnham made one save on five shots in goal playing the second 45 minutes of the match in the second half.
Co-Lin is now 2-8-0 overall on the season and will be back in action with a road contest against Hinds on Friday, October 8. The action on the pitch at Rene Warren Field will kickoff at 5 p.m.
