Four Lady Wolves Sign with Senior Colleges

WESSON – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team recently had four members sign letters of intent with senior colleges to continue their playing careers. Forward Charlie Cooper will be going to Louisiana Tech while midfielders Lois Mattock, Keely Marshall, and Madilynne Cooley will be attending Reinhardt University, Millsaps College, and Centenary College respectively.

This group of players represent a sophomore class that finished a career 17-12-5 overall record over the last two seasons.

Charlie Cooper, a native of Corby, England played in 27 games with 26 starts across the last two seasons for the Lady Wolves. Cooper scored 31 career goals and had six career assists for a total of 68 career points. In her sophomore season, she earned First Team All-MACCC and All-Region 23 honors and was also a First Team All-MACCC honoree after her freshman season making her the first two-time First Team All-MACCC honoree in program history.

Lois Mattock, a native of Halifax, England, was a stalwart member of the Lady Wolves midfield and defensive backlines throughout her 28 career games played with 24 starts. Mattock had two career assists in two seasons for the Lady Wolves while registering seven shots on goals.

Keely Marshall, a native of Madison, Mississippi, was an anchor for the Lady Wolves midfield who played in 31 career games with 23 starts. Marshall accounted for two career goals on six shots on goal with two career assists for six career points.

Madilynne Cooley, a native of Natchez, Mississippi, was also an integral member of the Lady Wolves midfield throughout her two seasons. Cooley played in 30 games throughout her career with one start and had one career assist.

Charlie Cooper is the first Division I signee for the Lady Wolves under head coach Tom Cosgrave and assistant coach JT Coward while all four represent the third straight season that Cosgrave has sent players to the senior college level during his tenure at Co-Lin.
