Bio

Alexus Holt begins her second year as an assistant coach in the 2023-24 season.

Holt, a native of Epps, Louisiana, played for the Lady Wolves from 2016-2018. As a two-year starter, Holt averaged 12.9 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, and 3.2 assists per game. After her two years at Co-Lin, she then continued her academic and playing career at Grambling State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in May 2021 and received her Master’s Degree in Sports Administration in May of 2023. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Developmental Education.

During her time at Co-Lin, Holt was named to the MACCC All-State Team, All-Region 23 First Team, All-Region 23 Tournament Team, and participated in the MACCC All-Star game as a sophomore. Additionally, the team her sophomore year were the MACCC South Division Runner Up and the NJCAA Region 23 Runner Up.

During her time at Grambling, Holt was named a First Team All-SWAC performer and made the SWAC All-Tournament team while playing in all 30 games for Grambling. She averaged 36.6 minutes per game, leading the entire SWAC conference and led the team in points per game at 17.0, which was the third-highest mark in the SWAC, while also averaging 5.3 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game. Additionally, Holt shot nearly 41 percent from the floor and 74.2 percent from the foul line and was also named to the BOXTOROW All-American Team. Holt was also named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Second Team after her final season at Grambling.

Coach Holt was also a member of the staff that was part of Lady Wolves head coach Gwyn Young's 1000th career win. Additionally during her coaching career, Holt has overseen the development of Tandria Minor who has a MACCC All-Conference Second Team honoree, and Zykeria Anderson who was a MACCC All-Conference First Team, All-Region 23 Team, and World Exposure Report Honorable Mention All-American.
