Lady Wolves remain perfect with win over Holmes

WESSON, Miss. - The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves dropped only six games in a 9-0 victory over the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs over the weekend. 

Susana Patino and Brittany Barnett played No. 1 doubles for Co-Lin and trounced the Lady Bulldog's Khin Lwin and Kayla Douglas 8-0. Madison Shows and Mckenzie Shows were ready at No. 2 doubles, followed by Paula Coronado and Gracie Phillips at No. 3, but both matches were one by default due to roster size. 

Patino played No. 1 singles for Co-Lin and remained perfect on the day with another shutout victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Lwin. Mckenzie Shows got the win at No. 2 singles over Douglas 6-0, 6-4, while Phillips picked up a solid win at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-0, over Emily Evans. Coronado, Madison Shows, and Barnett won their singles matches by default. 

Co-Lin planned to travel to East Central on Tuesday, February 11, but due to weather, the match has been postponed until Tuesday, March 3. The Lady Wolves are back in Wesson on Friday, February 14 as Co-Lin faces Hinds at 2 p.m.
