Sublett earns MACJC Player of the Week
For the third time in the sophomore's career, Griffin Sublett earned MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Sublett, a Pascagoula, Miss. native, earned recognition after another solid, dependable performance last Thursday as the Wolves defeated Coahoma 34-6 in Clarksdale.
The Pascagoula High School graduate was 2-for-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points. He also averaged 37.3 yards on three punts with a long of 48-yards.
The sophomore was very selfless on receiving the statewide honor.
"It's a team effort," said Sublett. "I can't do my job unless everybody does, so I have to thank the rest of the guys on the special teams unit."
During the 2017 campaign Sublett is 3-for-4 on FGs, 8-for-8 on extra points for a total of 17 points.
