Co-Lin’s Jakaiszer Glass earns MACJC Player of the Week

WESSON, Miss. – Jakaiszer Glass, a sophomore linebacker from Greenwood, Miss., had a breakout game last week as Co-Lin upset the then-ranked No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs 38-13. Glass wrapped up 10 tackles on the night, one sack, and one and a half tackles for loss. The sophomore also snagged an interception in the third quarter that he returned 37 yards deep into the Bulldog's territory, which led to a Co-Lin field goal.

Glass is currently tied for second on the team with 35 tackles on the year, six more than he had all year last season, and has posted two and half TFLs thus far. He is Co-Lin's only player that is not a defensive back with an interception.

"First off I want to give all the glory to the man above for having me in the position that I'm in right now," said Glass. "I'm happy that I'm getting the recognition that I'm supposed to have gotten, but this honor means so much to me in many ways…it's a pleasure to get great things like this because it takes hard work and dedication to earn it. I want to thank my teammates for pushing me to become a better player everyday."

The Wolves are back on the road this week as the team travels to Decatur to take on the East Central Community College Warriors in a pivotal MACJC South Division matchup. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Fans can follow @colinathletics on Twitter or visit colinathletics.com for updates throughout the games and for information throughout the season.
