Bio

Deltarus Thompson is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Wolves. Thompson will primarily work with the defensive backs. Thompson comes to Co-Lin after spending the fall of 2023 with the Oak Grove High School football team working with the wide receivers and defensive backs as part of their Class 7A State Championship winning season. Prior to that, he also worked with receivers and defensive backs with the Petal Panthers middle school football team. He also has previous coaching experience with the Oak Grove Athletic Association, A2GG Sports and Recreation, as well as experience working with the strength and conditioning team in the fall of 2017 at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Thompson holds an associate’s degree from Pearl River Community College and then graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in sport coaching education in May 2024.
