UTICA, Miss. – The Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln Community College had the hot hand yet again Saturday as Co-Lin blew by Hinds Community College 92-72. The win moves Co-Lin to 12-1 on the year and 3-1 in division play. The Wolves travel to Summit, Miss. Monday, January 21st as Co-Lin faces the 12-1 Southwest Bears. "There was some panic at the beginning as we were doing some very uncharacteristic things," said Co-Lin head coach Kenny Bizzot. "I'm proud of how we responded in the second half…we have a lot of heart and came out and started making shots. Darrian Wilson was huge for us in that aspect."

Saturday's matchup had a similar feel to the Wolves' previous game against East Central as Hinds took an 18-7 lead after six minutes of play. That 11-point lead stretched over the next seven minutes as the Bulldogs rattled off a run. Hinds led by 16 with just seven minutes remaining in the opening half.

The Wolves fought back in the final minutes of the half. A 12-4 run from the Wolves cut the Bulldogs lead to just eight, 36-28, with just over five minutes remaining. Co-Lin continued to score from all parts of the floor in the final minutes, and cut the Bulldogs lead to just two going into the half.

After back-and-forth scoring that saw three lead changes and four ties the Wolves began to pull away in the second half. With 11:06 left on the clock the Wolves went on a scoring spree led by Lazorian McNulty, Tray Lawson, and Youry White. Co-Lin went on a 13-1 run that gave the Wolves a 15-point, 79-64, lead, and some breathing room with 6:47 remaining. The Wolves maintained that lead for the remainder of the contest to grab the South Division win.

Darrian Wilson led the Wolves with 19 points after shooting a blistering 5-for-6 from three-point range. Jonathan Floyd added 17 points and led the Wolves with six assists. White recorded his fifth double-double on the year with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while McNulty also netted 14 points. Lawson finished with nine points and eight rebounds.

Nakia Rivers led Hinds with 20 points. Anthony Johnson and Jason Smith rounded out the Bulldogs double-digit scorers with 14 and 10 points respectively.

Co-Lin shot 58 percent (33-for-57) from the field, 63 percent (10-for-16) from the three-point line, and 63 percent (17-for-27) from the foul stripe. The Bulldogs finished the night shooting 43 percent (27-for-63) from the field, 33 percent (7-for-21) from beyond the arc, and 63 percent (12-for-19) from the free throw line.
