PANAMA CITY – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team continued their season on the road with a pair of games at Gulf Coast State this weekend. The Wolves dropped a 98-71 contest against No. 10 Chipola on Saturday, November 9, and then fell to Gulf Coast State, 96-70, on Sunday, November 10.

Chipola used a big first half outscoring the Wolves, 50-37, to hold a lead by that margin as the teams entered the locker room at halftime. The Wolves fought the whole second half but could not overcome the big deficit as Chipola outscored them, 48-34, to seal the 98-71 win.
Deven Bates (Jackson) had a huge game for the Wolves as he led all scorers with 28 points along with four rebounds and three assists while Dakota Hillard (Hazlehurst) had 23 points with two rebounds. Keisean Shields (Atoka, OK) had six points, Chris Stephens, Jr. (Byram), had five points while Fred Gray, Jr. (Belzoni) had three points. Prince Ojukwu (Etobicoke, Ontario), Javian Watkins (Jackson), and Dawson Knox (Brookhaven) had two points each to round out the scoring for the Wolves.

The Wolves got off to a sluggish start in their second game of the weekend as they were held to 29 points while the Commodores scored 50 to hold the lead at halftime. Once again, the Wolves showed resilience and battled throughout the second half but could not overcome the deficit as the Commodores outscored them 46-41 to secure the 96-70 win.
Bates was the leading scorer for the Wolves as he tied for the game-lead in points with 22 along with six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Ojukwu posted his first career double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds along with a game-leading five blocks plus two assists and two steals while Shields had 11 points with three rebounds and one assist.
Corey Brown (Roxie) had seven points, while Fred Gray, Jr., and Hillard had six points each with Knox adding two points to round out the scoring for the Wolves.
With the losses, Co-Lin's record sits at 1-4 overall.
