Files and Herring tabbed All-Region

NORMAN, Okla. — NJCAA Division II All-Region Teams have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association for America (GCAA) for the 2019-20 season. Co-Lin's Adam Files and Garrett Herring got the nod in the East region for their stellar play in the abbreviated season. 

"Adam and Garrett are very deserving of All-Region honors," said Co-Lin head golf coach Craig Hennington. "They have both worked hard on the course and in the weight room during their time at Co-Lin to improve their game, they also worked hard in the classroom during their two years and we are fortunate to have them as Co-Lin Wolves." 

Files, a sophomore from Pearl, was solid throughout the short season and was a staple for the Wolves' line up. Herring, a sophomore from Laurel, was also a foundational player for Co-Lin and helped the Wolves in every round. 

The duo started the season strong with mirrored two-day totals of 149 in the first event of the year hosted by Hinds. The strong play landed both Files and Herring All-Tournament honors and set the tone for the season.

The pair went on to continually lead the team in the upcoming events.
