Wolves play in second MACCC event of the year

RAYMOND, Miss. - The Copiah-Lincoln Community College golf team finished in seventh over the weekend as the team participated in the second MACCC event of the season. The tournament, which was played at Eagle Ridge Golf Course was won by Mississippi Gulf Coast with Northeast and Meridian finishing in second and third places. The Wolves finished with a 649 team score over the two-round event. 

Nick Davis was Co-Lin's top finisher with a two-day total of 157 after carding rounds of 79 and 78. The finish placed Davis in the top-20 as an individual. Jordan Davis and Ty Brewer followed with scores of 162 and 163, respectively. Ty Nelson bounced back nicely in the second round shaving off five strokes from his opening 85 to finish with a 165, Landon Nobles and Reese Dehart rounded out the Wolves after shooting 166 and 170, respectively. 

The Wolves' final event of the fall portion of the 2020-21 season will take place in Wesson at Co-Lin's home course, Wolf Hollow on Monday, Oct. 26. The one-round event serves as a MACCC Conference Preview as Co-Lin will host the state championship in April of next year. Information about attending the event will be released closer to the event.
