Co-Lin finishes fourth at MACCC Event #6

McCOMB – The Co-Lin Wolves captured fourth place in the Mississippi Association of Community College Conference's (MACCC) Event #6 hosted by Southwest Mississippi Community College at Quail Hollow Golf Club. The Wolves shot a final round 310 to finish at 623 (313-310).

"We have steadily improved all year, but still not quite playing as consistently as we are capable of," said Co-Lin golf coach Allen Kent. "The conference (state) tournament is coming up in Meridian. The top five teams there will make it to the district (regional) tournament. I like our chances of making it to the district tournament, if we keep playing like we have been these past few tournaments."

Northeast Mississippi came from behind to win the tournament posting a two day total of 591 (298-293) to overtake first round leader Meridian Community College by three strokes at 594 (292-302). Rounding out the team scoring Mississippi Gulf Coast 598 (294-304) followed by Co-Lin, Southwest Mississippi 636 (319-317), Itawamba 640 (323-317) and Hinds 649 (326-323).

Individually, Co-Lin's Landon Nobles (Alexandria High School LA) posted a 152 (75-77) followed by Nick Davis (Catholic High School) at155 (78-77), Ty Brewer (Wesson High School) and Jordan Davis (Murray High School) at 157 (77-78), Ty Nelson (Lawrence County High School) at 160 (83-77) and Seth Beall (Purvis High School) at 163 (84-79). Ethan Dyess of Meridian took medalist honors with a 139 (66-73),
