Wolves tie for 8th in Northeast Invitational

CORINTH, Mississippi – Cold and windy conditions caused high scores in the Northeast Invitational held at Shiloh Ridge Golf Club in Corinth. The final round tee times were moved back to 10:30 a.m. due to frost on the course. The Wolves started the final round in ninth place and finished tied for eighth with Itawamba Community College.

Mississippi Gulf Coast claimed the championship at 578 followed by East Central 601, Northeast Mississippi 608, Jones 613, Meridian 615, East Mississippi 318, Hinds 324, Co-Lin 335, Itawamba 335, Southwest343, and Pearl River 724.

Jamie Stace of East Central captured medalist honors with a 141. Leading the Wolves was freshman Lander Guibert (San Sebastian, Spain) at 155 followed by Oscar Toreld (Binnerbäck, Sweden) 157, Myles Walters (Laurel) 161, Jamie Hernandez (Palma De Mallorca, Spain) 166, Harlan Brewer (Wesson) 171, Reese McLaurin (Laurel) 175.

The Wolves will play in the Meridian Invitational Monday and Tuesday, March 25-26, at Northwood Country Club in Meridian.
