Wolves Compete in MGCCC Invitational
GULFPORT – The Co-Lin Golf team wrapped up the fall portion of the 2024-25 schedule by participating in the MGCCC Invitational at Windance Country Club in Gulfport on Monday, October 28, and Tuesday, October 29. The invitational featured two back-to-back rounds on the first day and a final single round on the second day. The Wolves finished in 13th place after the 54-hole tournament.
During the first of two rounds on day one, the Wolves shot a +23 and followed with a +26 as a team to finish the day at +48. They followed that with a +22 on the final round to finish +71 for the tournament. Oscar Toreld (Binnerbäck, Sweden) led the Wolves with the best individual finish at eighth overall. Toreld finished the tournament at +3 after shooting -2 (70), +3 (75), and +2 (74). Max Seidemann (Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Germany) finished the tournament at +19, Lander Guibert (San Sebastian, Spain) finished at +22, and Harlan Brewer (Wesson) shot a +27.
This comes after the Wolves finished in eighth place during the fourth event of MACCC play at Castlewoods Country Club in Brandon. The Wolves finished the first day of the event at +20 and were in third place, but a second day score of +40 for a total of +60 saw the Wolves fall down the scoreboard. Toreld once again had the best individual performance finishing just outside of the Top 10 in 12th with a +7 in his two rounds. Seidemann shot +15, Brewer shot +17, while Owen Siegfried (Brandon) finished at +21 while Guibert shot a +23 to round out the team scoring. Nathan Mills (Brookhaven) played as an individual and shot a +29.
The Wolves will be off until February 10 and 11 when they take place in the Gulf Coast Invitational, the fifth event of MACCC play, at Grand Bear Golf Club in Saucier.
