
Wolves Compete at Gulf Coast Invitational
SAUCIER – The Co-Lin Golf team started their spring schedule by competing in the fifth event of MACCC play, the Gulf Coast Invitational, at Grand Bear Golf Club on Monday, February 10, and Tuesday, February 11. The Wolves had a strong showing on the first day of competition finishing in fourth place but could not carry the momentum over to the second day falling to 11th place overall.
On the first day of the invitational, the Wolves had all four team members shoot under 80 as Lander Guibert (San Sebastian) shot a +3 (75) while Max Seidemann (Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Germany) was right behind him with a +4 (76). Kolby Cox (Meadville) made his season debut for the Wolves and shot a +6 (78) while Harlan Brewer (Wesson) was one stroke behind him at +7 (79) for a team total of +20 (308).
The second day of the invitational saw Guibert and Seidemann tie for the team high score with a +11 (83) while Cox and Brewer shot a +12 (84) and +15 (87) respectively for a team score of +49 (337). Overall, the team finished with a two-day total of +69 (645).
Owen Siegfried (Brandon) competed as an individual for the Wolves and shot a +18 (90) both days of the tournament.
Co-Lin will be back in action for the sixth event of MACCC play on Monday, March 3, and Tuesday, March 4, at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Philadelphia.
