
Guibert Qualifies for District Championship
CORINTH – The Co-Lin Golf team competed in the MACCC Championship Tournament held at Shiloh Ridge Golf Course in Corinth. The Wolves finished in 12th place ending the season for the team as a whole; however, the Wolves will have one individual compete in the NJCAA District D Championship in Lander Guibert (San Sebastian, Spain).
Guibert qualified as the individual with the lowest score amongst teams that did not qualify for the District D Championship after shooting a two-day total +12 (156). He started the two-day tournament with a +7 (79) on Monday, April 14 and then shot a +5 (77) on Tuesday, April 15. The NJCAA District D Championship will be a three-round tournament from Monday, April 21-Wednesday, April 23 at Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica.
Co-Lin Golf also had one more sophomore earn an individual award as sophomore Oscar Toreld (Binnerbäck, Sweden) was awarded the Chris Clark Sportsmanship Award as voted on by the MACCC golf coaches.
