Golf Competes at Ranger Classic

HOLLY SPRINGS – The Co-Lin Golf team kicked off the season by playing in the Ranger Classic, the first event of MACCC play, on Monday, August 25, and Tuesday, August 26 at Kirkwood National in Holly Springs. The Wolves finished the event in eighth place finishing with a two-day total of +69 (213)

The first day of the event saw Max Seidemann (Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Germany) and Ben Kumlehn (Schwetzingen, Germany) shoot a +4 (76) each to lead the team. Leopold Griesheimer (Sankt Leon-Rot Germany) shot a +12 (84) while Gabe Gennaro (Brookhaven) shot a +13 (85) to give the team a +33 (105). Kolby Cox (Meadville) shot a +20 (92) while Colton Touchston (Petal) shot a +17 (89) while competing as an individual.

The second day saw improvement from multiple members of the team as Seidemann shot a +2 (74) to finish +6 (150) and lead the team while Griesheimer shot a +7 (79) to finish +19 (163). Kumlehn finished the day at +9 (81) to finish at +13 (157) while Cox was bumped up to the fourth position and shot a +18 (90) to finish +38 (182). Gennaro shot a +23 (95) to finish +36 (180) while Touchstone shot a +25 (97) to finish +42 (186).

Co-Lin will return to action playing in the second event of MACCC play at Shiloh Ridge Golf Course in Corinth on Monday, September 22, and Tuesday, September 23.
