RAYMOND – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team opened MACCC play on the road against Hinds on Friday, September 15. The Eagles beat the Wolves, 2-0.
Both teams had scoring opportunities throughout the first half, but none found the back of the net resulting in a scoreless half as the horn sounded for halftime.
The Eagles then netted goals in the 47th and 70th minutes to take a 2-0 lead. The Wolves then had a flurry of scoring opportunities but no shots on goal got past the Eagles keeper as they secured the 2-0 win.
Leo Summers (Cornwall, England) saved four of the six shots on goal he faced throughout the match.
Co-Lin returns to action on the road against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Tuesday, September 19. The action on the pitch between the Wolves and Bulldogs kicks off at 7 p.m., in Perkinston.
