ELLISVILLE – The Co-Lin Men's soccer team returned to action facing off in road MACCC match against Jones on Tuesday, September 26. The Bobcats beat the Wolves, 6-0.
The match was scoreless for much of the first half despite the Wolves playing one player down after a red card. However, the Bobcats broke the scoreless half with a goal in the 32nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Bobcats then scored in the 36th and 45th minutes to hold a 3-0 lead at halftime.
The Bobcats then scored goals in the 47th, 56th, and 72nd minutes while stalling out the Wolves offense for most of the second half to secure the 6-0 win.
Leo Summers (Cornwall, England) saved seven of 13 shots on goal faced throughout the match.
Co-Lin returns to action hosting Southwest Mississippi in MACCC play on Friday, September 29. The action on the pitch between the Bears and Wolves is set to kickoff at 3 p.m., at H.L. Stone Stadium in Wesson.
