Summers Career Day Leads to Wolves Draw

FULTON – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team returned to action with a conference matchup on the road at Itawamba on Tuesday, October 3. The Wolves and Indians finished in a 0-0 draw.

The Wolves had multiple scoring chances throughout the first half, but none would find the back of the net to give the Wolves a lead. Meanwhile the Indians also had several scoring chances, but Leo Summers (Cornwall, England) matched pace with the Indians keeper denying every chance on goal.

The second half saw a flurry of offensive action by both teams, but the Indians looked to take advantage of one chance late in the match. Summers challenged an attacking player for the Indians leaving the goal open while the ball slowly crawled towards the goal line to potentially give the Indians a win; however, Dylan Ngamaleu (Vallorbe, Switzerland) came running in and cleared the ball out to maintain the scoreless match ultimately resulting in the draw.

Leo Summers set a new career high saving all 16 shots on goal faced throughout the match for the Wolves.

Co-Lin returns to action hosting Meridian on Friday, October 6. The action on the pitch kicks off between the Eagles and the Wolves at 2 p.m., at H.L. Stone Stadium in Wesson.
