DECATUR – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team finished the 2023 regular season with a road contest against East Central on Tuesday, October 24. The Warriors beat the Wolves, 6-0.
The Wolves could not take advantage of early scoring chances in the first half as the Warriors scored their first goal in the 35th minute to take the 1-0 lead over the Wolves which held at halftime.
The second half saw the Warriors score five more goals and stall out the Wolves offense to take the match 6-0.
Leo Summers (Cornwall, England) saved four of seven shots on goal in 70 minutes played while Brennan Thomas (Gallman) saved four of six shots faced in the final 20 minutes of the match.
Co-Lin finishes the regular season with a 4-7-5 overall record, 3-5-3 in conference play. The Wolves qualified for the Region 23 Quarterfinals and will travel to Jones to face off against the Bobcats in Ellisville. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., on Friday, October 27.
