No. 19 Wolfpack defeat No. 25 Jones County

WESSON – The No. 19 Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolfpack defeated the No. 25 Jones County Junior College Bobcats 5-4 in recent tennis action. The Wolfpack took two out of three doubles matches and three of six singles matches. In a meeting earlier this year, Co-Lin defeated Jones 6-3.

"Sebastian (Osorio), Juan Pablo (Pinilla) and Tripp (Case) won their singles and doubles matches to give us the win," said tennis coach Brenda Smith. "We need to keep improving each match to get ready for State coming soon."

In doubles action, Osorio and Pinilla beat Mitar Milosavljevic and Cody Courtney 8-2 at No. 1. Tripp Case and Tripp Wyatt beat Erich Fischer and Jed Slovar 8-3.

In singles action, No. 1 Osorio beat Milosavljevic 6-2, 6-2.  At No. 2, Pinilla defeated Monsalve 7-6 (3), 6-3 and Case picked up the win at No. 4 defeating James Estrada 6-2, 6-4.

The Wolfpack travel to Hinds on Tuesday with matches beginning at 2 p.m.
