Lady Wolves drop pair to No. 1 JCJC

WESSON, Miss. – The Copiah-Lincoln Community Lady Wolves suffered two losses at the hands of No. 1 Jones County Junior College Wednesday afternoon, 8-0 and 9-0. The losses move the Lady Wolves to 14-11 on the year and 5-5 in MACJC play. The Lady Wolves are on the road Friday, March 23, as Co-Lin travels to Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Miss. Game times are set for 2 and 4 p.m.

"Our pitching put us in a bind today," said Lady Wolves head coach Allen Kent. "I think we issued 12 walks. That puts the pressure on your defense, and it showed, as we kicked it around some in the field...you can't expect to beat anyone like that, especially the No. 1 team in the nation."

Game One

The Lady Wolves struggled both at the plate and in the field as Co-Lin posted two hits and had four errors. The Lady Bobcats drove in four runs in the first and then one in each of the following four innings to secure the 8-0 victory.
