Game One

The opener was a pitcher's duel as both Holmes and Co-Lin combined for just seven hits in the game. It was also a scoreless affair at the end of regulation.

Katelyn Hayman reached on a single in the top of the eighth and quickly stole second base. Callie Fortenberry moved the freshman over with a sacrifice bunt, and Marley Poole drove her home with a double to put the Lady Wolves on top 1-0. Poole was unable to score later in the frame, which gave Co-Lin a one-run advantage headed into the bottom of the extra inning.

Holmes put two runners on in the bottom of the eighth on an error and a single before Hannah Champion drove the two in with a walk-off double, 2-1.

Kaytlon Ward took the loss for Co-Lin, as she allowed three hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.

Amber Brinson, Poole, Tori Pettit, and Hayman all posted one hit to lead Co-Lin at the plate.

Game Two

The nightcap was all Co-Lin as the Lady Wolves trounced Holmes 11-2.

Co-Lin took the lead early as Hayman scored on a passed ball in the top of the first before Julie Scheuermann drove in two runs with an RBI single making it 3-0.

Another run came in the top of the second off an RBI single from Hayman, before the Lady Wolves posted another three-run inning in the top of the third. The runs came from a sacrifice fly from Hannah Walls and an RBI single form Delaine McMillan.

Holmes cut the lead to 7-2 in the bottom of the third after an error plated two Lady Bulldogs, but Co-Lin immediately responded in the top of the fourth.

In the fourth, Fortenberry and Poole led off with a pair of singles. Scheuermann scored one with a single before Walls plated another with an RBI double. Ky'Albri Washington followed with an RBI single of her own, while Pettit drove in the final run with yet another RBI single. The explosive frame put Co-Lin up 11-2, a score that would hold for the run-rule victory.

Makenzie Smith got the win for the Lady Wolves in the circle. She lasted four innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out two and walking one, while Ward threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Hayman, Scheuermann, and Fortenberry led the Lady Wolves at the dish with a pair of hits each, while Scheuermann's three RBIs led the team.
