Lady Wolves season comes to an end

EUNICE, Louisiana – After losing a 10 innings heartbreaker to No. 2 Jones College, the No. 8 Co-Lin Lady Wolves had to turn around a play No. 9 Mississippi Gulf Coast in an elimination game at the National Junior College Athletic Association's Region 23 Tournament (NJCAA) hosted by LSU-Eunice. The Lady Bulldogs 8-1 eliminated Co-Lin 7-3.

"Coming from the winner's bracket was definitely to our disadvantage to have to turn around and play again after a very emotional loss," said Co-Lin head coach Meleah Howard. "I cannot say enough to express how proud I am of this group. We have fought all year long no matter the circumstances and that didn't change today. Our program will greatly miss this sophomore group but is better off having hade them play for us! They have set the expectation level extremely high for the hears to come."

The Lady Bulldogs broke the game open in the fifth inning. They took advantage of three Co-Lin errors to take a 4-0 lead.

Gulf Coast added three runs in the top of the seventh inning to increase their lead to 7-0.
