Lady Wolves earn postseason honors

JACKSON – Six members of the Co-Lin Lady Wolves softball team earned 2021 Mississippi Association of Community College Conference All-Conference honors. Named First Team All-Conference were infielder Carlon Brabham, pitcher Cera Blanchard and catcher Abigail Carter. Capturing Honorable Mention All-Conference honors were outfielders Shelbi Maxwell and Madalyn Wilkinson and pitcher Bella Luckey.

Brabham, a sophomore from Amite, Louisiana, led the team in batting average (.449), home runs (18), RBIs (63), hits (61), slugging percentage (.912) and on base percentage (.506). She was second on the team with nine doubles and 20 walks.

Carter, a sophomore catcher from Mendenhall, led the team in walks with 21. The Simpson Academy product was second on the team in home runs (13), slugging percentage (.689) and doubles (nine). She batted .326, had 28 RBIs and 43 hits.

Blanchard, a freshman from Metairie, Louisiana, was third in the NJCAA with a 1.55 ERA. She was 15-4 on the season with 16 complete games, 140.1 innings pitched, 138 strikeouts, and 47 walks. At the plate, Blanchard was second on the team with a .470 on base percentage. She batted .367 with three home runs, 40 hits, eight doubles and .541 slugging percentage.

Maxwell led the team in stolen bases (12). The freshman from Wesson batted .351 with 47 hits, 16 RBIs, five doubles, two triples and 12 walks.

Wilkinson, a freshman from Madison, led the team in doubles (12) and was second on the team in RBIs (30). She was third on the team in hits (49), stolen bases (10 and slugging percentage (.555). Wilkinson batted .358 with five home runs and 13 walks.

Luckey, a sophomore pitcher from Mendenhall, had a 13-4 record with a 2.14 ERA. She tossed 127.2 innings, 17 complete games had 62 strikeouts and 40 walks.

The Lady Wolves finished the 2021 season with a 32-11 overall record and a 22-6 conference record.
