Hinkson earns MACJC All-Star honors

WESSON – Tenazhia Hinkson, a sophomore from Pearl, Miss., earned MACJC All-Star honors for the Lady Wolves after the 2016-2017 season. Hinkson will participate in the annual MACJC All-Star game on the campus of East Central Community College on Friday, April 14 at 5 p.m. Watch the game live at holmesccmedia.com.

Tenazhia joins Shantavis Hughes and Laneisha Jeans, both of East Central; Areleatha Gipson and Octavia Barnes, both of Hinds; Zan Ratchliffe, Myyah West, and Kyle Felton, all of Jones; Rashanae Rice, Meridian; Shaniqua Tobias, Mississippi Gulf Coast; Deja Starks, Pearl River; and Shalisa Hawthrone, Southwest to form the South Division team. The team will be under the direction of Missy Bilderback, head coach of Jones County Junior College, and her staff.

Hinkson finished the season shooting 43 percent from the field and 38 percent from three-point range, which ranked her in the top 60 in the nation. She averaged 10.9 points per game and 29.1 minutes per game.
