Carter, Davis tabbed MACJC All-State

JACKSON, Miss. - Two of Co-Lin's standout sophomores were named MACJC Second Team All-State this week after stellar seasons. Sha'Quandra Carter, a Monroe, La. native and Camryn Davis of Monticello earned the recognition.

Carter, a Neville High School product led the Lady Wolves in several categories, including 14.5 points per game. She finished the regular season with 334 points and a 42.2 shooting percentage from the floor. Along with her solid offensive play, Carter posted 38 steals and 155 rebounds.

Davis, a Lawrence County High School graduate, started all 23 games for the Lady Wolves and scored 11.1 points per game on her way to 256 points. Davis shot 45 percent on the year. Like Carter, Davis is not only explosive on the offensive end of the court but the defensive side as well, as she led the Lady Wolves with 39 steals and posted the second-highest rebound mark on the team with 166 boards.

Though the Lady Wolves missed the MACJC State Tournament in 2020, the team earned a backdoor bid into the NJCAA Region XXIII Tournament that will take place in Clinton, Miss. on the campus of Mississippi College, March 3-6. Game times and opponents have not been announced yet, but these two Lady Wolves will have an opportunity to shine with Co-Lin on the chest at least one more time.
