Lady Wolves Earn Third Straight Win

EL DORADO, Ark. – The Co-Lin Women's Basketball team returned to action with a road match against South Arkansas Community College on Thursday, November 10. The Lady Wolve beat the Stars by a final of 70-58.

The Lady Wolves dominated the first quarter as they jumped out to a 21-12 lead over the Stars. The Lady Wolves then outscored the Stars, 16-13, in the second quarter to take a 37-25 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.

The third quarter saw the Stars double their score and outscore the Lady Wolves, 25-16. However, the Lady Wolves held onto their lead at the end of the third quarter as the score stood at 53-50. The final quarter of play saw the Lady Wolves double the scoring output of the Stars, 17-8, to seal the 70-58 win.

The Lady Wolves had four players hit double-digit scoring in the game as sophomore guard Zykeria Anderson (Edwards) led the team and was tied for the game high with 21 points. Anderson added in five rebounds while also leading the team in assists and steals with five in each category. Sophomore guard Ayanna McNairy (Brookhaven) had 12 points with seven rebounds, freshman forward Ceara Myers (Baton Rouge, LA) had 11 points with six rebounds while sophomore guard Tandria Minor (Brandon) also had 11 points to go along five rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

Freshman forward A'Shante Fleming (Canton) added six points, sophomore forward Kiersten Ball (Louisville) had five points, and sophomore guard Leilani Lewis (Baton Rouge, LA) had four points to round out the scoring for the Lady Wolves. Ball and Lewis led the team in rebounds with eight apiece.

Co-Lin improves to 3-0 on the season and returns to action with a neutral site game against LSU-Eunice. Tip-off between the Lady Bengals and the Lady Wolves is scheduled 1:00 p.m., on the campus of Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit.
