Lady Wolves Dominate Lady Dolphins
WESSON – The Co-Lin Women's Basketball team returned home to host Delgado on Thursday, November 14. The Lady Wolves dominated both sides of the court as they beat the Lady Dolphins 101-69 breaking the 100-point mark for the first time since a 103-77 win over SAU Tech on November 29, 2018, and for only the fifth time since the 2012-13 season.
"This was a great team win," stated Co-Lin head coach Dr. Britta Stephens. "We played extremely unselfish throughout the entire game. Our defensive intensity forced Delgado to turn the ball over 29 times which allowed us to score 38 points."

"Cookie Wilkinson had one of if not the best game of her career for us in this win," added Stephens. "Cookie is a special player who is only going to continue to grow as the season goes along. Kylinn Bell and Kam Pruitt were also outstanding for us tonight."
Kaylee Johnson (Booneville) had nine points while Tyra Johnson (Morton) and Eymani Key (Lafayette, LA) had eight points each. Jamyria Robinson (St. Martin) and Amari Barnes (Tylertown) had five points each, Zariah Hatten (Taylorsville) had four points, and Kiersten Haynes (Clinton) had two points to round out the scoring.

"I was very proud of how well we shot the ball in this game," said Stephens. "The reason that we shot it so well is because we played so unselfishly and shared the ball until we got wide open attempts. 28 assists in the game speaks very highly of this group and how well they work together."
Co-Lin is now 3-3 overall and will return to action for a neutral site game against LSU-Eunice on Monday, November 18 at Southwest Mississippi. Tip-off between the Lady Wolves and the Lady Bengals is set for 1 p.m., in Summit.
