DECATUR – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team hit the road to face off against East Central on Tuesday, September 5. The Lady Warriors beat the Lady Wolves, 3-1.
The Lady Warriors got on the board first with a goal in the 28th minute and the 1-0 lead held throughout the remainder of play in the first half.
The Lady Wolves tied the game early in the second half as Alisa Johnson (Leakesville) found the back of the net in the 54th minute making the score, 1-1.
The Lady Warriors then scored two goals in the 73rd minute and held the Lady Wolves scoreless for the remainder of the game to secure the 3-1 win.
Lara Dorfel (Munich, Germany) made nine saves on 12 shots on goal throughout the match for the Lady Wolves.
Co-Lin is now 3-2 overall and return to action with their MACCC opener on the road at Hinds on Friday, September 15. The action on the pitch between the Lady Wolves and the Lady Eagles kicks off at 3 p.m., in Raymond.
