ELLISVILLE – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team resumed MACCC play with a road match against Jones on Tuesday, September 26. The Lady Bobcats beat the Lady Wolves, 4-0.
The match was scoreless for the majority of the first half, but the Lady Bobcats scored their first two goals in the 40th and 43rd minutes taking a 2-0 lead in at halftime.
The Lady Wolves held the deficit at 2-0 for most of the second half while looking for scoring opportunities, but the Lady Bobcats scored two goals in the 84th and 86th minutes to increase their lead to 4-0. The Lady Wolves would be held without a scoring chance in the final minutes to seal the 4-0 win for the Lady Bobcats.
Lara Dorfel (Munich, Germany) saved eight of 12 shots on goal faced throughout the match.
Co-Lin is now 5-3-1 overall, 2-1-1 in conference play. The Lady Wolves return to action hosting Southwest Mississippi on Friday, September 29. The action between the Lady Bears and Lady Wolves kicks off at 1 p.m., on the pitch at H.L. Stone Stadium in Wesson.
