WESSON – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team return to MACCC play hosting Meridian on Friday, October 7. The Lady Wolves beat the Lady Eagles, 1-0.
The first half was scoreless for most of the play between the Lady Wolves and the Lady Eagles; however, the Lady Wolves took the lead with a goal from Emmi Cook (Chesterfield, England) with an assist from Charlie Cooper (Corby, England) in the 38th minute.
The Lady Wolves stalled out the Lady Eagles offense for the remainder of the first half to maintain the 1-0 lead at halftime.
The Lady Wolves were up to the challenge given by the Lady Eagles throughout the second half allowing just two shots on goal and did not give up the equalizer as the Lady Wolves sealed the 1-0 win.
Lara Dorfel (Munich, Germany) saved all three shots on goal she faced throughout the match.
Co-Lin returns to action hosting the No. 1 ranked Holmes on Friday, October 13. The action between the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Wolves is set to kickoff on the pitch at H.L. Stone Stadium in Wesson.
