Charlie Cooper Earns Pair of Postseason Honors

JACKSON – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) announced the postseason women's soccer honorees on Wednesday, November 15. The Lady Wolves had one member of the team named to the list in sophomore forward Charlie Cooper from Corby, England who was named First Team All-MACCC.

"Charlie had another outstanding season this year," stated Co-Lin head coach Tom Cosgrave. "She is a natural goal scorer who works hard every day in training to get better. Charlie has a very bright future ahead of her and will be an excellent player at the next level."

Cooper had a sensational sophomore season where she scored 18 goals and had three assists for 39 total points while playing in 13 games. Despite her season being cut short due to injury, Cooper still finished as one of the top goal scorers in NJCAA DII Women's Soccer and was one of the top three goal scorers in the MACCC along with being in the Top 10 in the MACCC for total points.

Cooper was also named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 Team after earning the First Team All-MACCC honors. In her two seasons at Co-Lin, Cooper played in 27 games with 26 starts and finished with 31 goals and six assists for 68 points.
