Lady Wolves Drop Match To Bobcats

WESSON – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team returned to MACCC play hosting Jones on Friday, October 4. The No. 6 Bobcats beat the Lady Wolves, 3-1.

The Lady Wolves got on the board first as Emmi Cook (Chesterfield, England) stepped in front of a pass by the Bobcats then carried the ball into the box and found Siobhan Scott (Glasgow, Scotland) who put the ball past the Bobcats keeper for a goal in the 15th minute of the match.

The Lady Wolves held the lead throughout much of the first half until the Bobcats found an equalizing goal in the 36th minute making the score 1-1, which held throughout the remainder of the first half.

The Bobcats then scored goals in the 65th and 77th minutes while stifling the Lady Wolves forward attack to secure a 3-1 win.

Olivia Conway (Huddersfield, England) saved eight of 11 shots on goal faced throughout the match.

Co-Lin is now 1-3-3 overall, 1-2-2 in conference play, and will return to action hosting Hinds on Tuesday, October 8. Kickoff between the Lady Eagles and the Lady Wolves is set for 5:30 p.m., on the pitch at Stone Stadium in Wesson.
