Lady Wolves Blanked By Lady Bulldogs

RIDGELAND – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team returned to conference action with a road match against Holmes on Tuesday, October 15. The No. 4 Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Wolves 3-0.

The Lady Wolves gave up an early goal to the Lady Bulldogs as they took a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the match. However, the final 44 minutes of the first half featured a strong defensive performance by the Lady Wolves, but the team only had one shot in the half that was wide of goal to keep the deficit at 1-0 at halftime.

The second half saw the Lady Wolves continue to try and find an equalizer but both shots during play were wide of the goal while the Lady Bulldogs added goals in the 57th and 62nd minutes to secure the 3-0 win.

Olivia Conway (Huddersfield, England) saved six of nine shots on goal faced throughout the match.

Co-Lin is now 3-4-3 overall, 3-3-2 in conference play, and will return to action on the road against Meridian on Tuesday, October 22. The action on the pitch between the Lady Wolves and the Lady Eagles is set to kickoff at 5 p.m., on the campus of Meridian Community College.
