SENATOBIA – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team resumed MACCC play with a road match against Northwest on Friday, October 25. The No. 1 Lady Rangers beat the Lady Wolves, 6-0.
"It was a tough battle against a quality side," stated Co-Lin head coach Tom Cosgrave. "They punished us for every mistake that we made and were very clinical with their strikes."
The Lady Rangers scored three goals in the first 27 minutes of the first half to hold a 3-0 lead at halftime. They then added three goals in a 22-minute span in the second half while holding the Lady Wolves to one shot on goal throughout the match to secure the win.
Olivia Conway (Huddersfield, England) saved 11 of 17 shots on goal faced throughout the match.
"I was proud of the battle our girls showed throughout the match, and I couldn't find fault in their work rate," added Cosgrave. "All our attention is on our regular season finale against Southwest."
Co-Lin is now 3-5-4 overall, 3-4-3 in MACCC play, and will return to action on the road against Southwest on Tuesday, October 29. The action on the pitch between the Lady Wolves and Lady Bears is set to kickoff at 5 p.m., in Summit.
